Each professional is responsible for the individual requirements as stipulated by his/her licensing agency. Please contact your individual licensing board/regulatory agency to review continuing education requirements for licensure renewal. Please note: You must attend "live" (in real-time) for the duration of the training to earn CE credits.

After the event, you will receive access to your evaluation and continuing education certificate via a personalized "attendee dashboard" link, hosted on the CE-Go website. This link will be sent to the email account you used to register for the event.

Upon accessing the CE-Go "attendee dashboard", you will be able to:

  • Complete evaluation forms for the event
  • Download your continuing education certificate in a PDF format

Target Audience

This educational activity is intended for behavioral health professionals, including Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Play Therapists.

Event Learning Objectives

  • Explain key neuroscience principles including neuroplasticity, attachment, sensory integration, and autonomic nervous system functioning and their relevance to play therapy practice.
  • Analyze how the Therapeutic Powers of Play support neural integration, emotional regulation, resilience, and relational healing across developmental stages.
  • Demonstrate neuroscience-informed play therapy interventions that promote regulation, symbolic expression, attachment security, and cognitive-emotional integration.
  • Differentiate developmentally responsive play therapy approaches that address the neurobiological effects of trauma, adversity, and stress in children, adolescents, and families.
  • Apply evidence-informed play therapy strategies that integrate neuroscience concepts into assessment, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making.
  • Evaluate the role of therapist attunement, co-regulation, and experiential engagement in facilitating brain-based healing and therapeutic change within the play therapy relationship.

Dora Henderson ~ A Safe Place LLC (APT Approved Provider 22-666) offers various play therapy training opportunities. The cancellation and refund policy is provided for your review. 



All training events have these policies: 

All trainings are subject to sufficient registration. 
If a live event is cancelled due to insufficient registration, weather related emergencies or extreme technological difficulties, all paid registrants will be given the choice to either attend a rescheduled event at no additional charge or be issued a full refund. 
Should The Neuroscience of Therapy team need to cancel or reschedule training, all efforts will be made to contact registrants via the email that was provided during the event registration. 
No partial CE credit is available. Attendees must be present for the entire duration of the course (with quiz ~ 70% = passing) to obtain any credit. 
Live events may be recorded for future non-contact training opportunities. Attendees will be given prior notice of any recording; however, participation in the event implies consent to the recording and consent for any educational or commercial use without compensation. 
Play therapy credit will be awarded to mental health professionals only per the guidelines of the Association for Play Therapy. It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain appropriate supervision and/or consultation when learning new therapeutic techniques and to operate within their scope of practice and professional regulations. 
Continuing education credits for state or professional licensing boards are not available unless specifically indicated on the training announcement. Contact your state board or professional organization for guidance. 
Dora Henderson with A Safe Space Counseling LLC is responsible for the administration of the training only. Any other costs for participation are the responsibility of the registrant. 
Quiz answers, evaluations, and participant information are stored for audit purposes for a period of five years. 
No exceptions will be made to these policies. 
All trainings are subject to sufficient registration and will be canceled 30 days before the event if there is not sufficient registration. 


If a live event is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, weather emergencies, or technical issues, paid registrants may choose to attend a rescheduled event at no cost or receive a full refund.



Dora Henderson with A Safe Space Counseling LLC is responsible for training administration only. Registrants are responsible for any related travel or personal expenses.



Refunds:

Cancellations received at least 4 weeks before the program will receive a full refund minus a $150.00 administration, USD processing fee.

Cancellations within 4 weeks of the event or once training has begun are non-refundable.

No refunds will be issued once a certificate has been generated.



In cases of emergency, please contact asafespacellc@gmail.com. We are committed to providing you with a valuable and engaging experience at our event. However, if the minimum participant requirement is not met by June 11, 2025, we will proceed as follows:
Full Refund: All registered participants will receive a full refund of any fees paid. The refund process will begin immediately upon event cancellation and should be completed within 7-10 business days.
Notification: Participants will be notified of the cancellation via email by June 12, 2025, with detailed instructions on the refund process.
Alternate Solutions: We will explore alternative options, such as rescheduling the event or providing similar content through online platforms. Participants will have the option to transfer their registration to the new event or format at no additional cost.

Technology

1. This virtual event will be hosted via Zoom Meeting, and you may be prompted to download or upgrade your Zoom app if using a mobile device. A strong WiFi connection will be required for best quality. 




2. We recommend clicking your "Join Webinar" button early and checking that your speakers are on, and camera and microphone are working, before the event begins. 




3. Please respect that no copying, recording, or distribution of live session content is allowed. CE's are provided for the "live" sessions only. CE's will not be available for the recordings.
